Winter 2007 Newsletter
Dear Friends,

Thank you so much for your loyal support of our business. We hope this newsletter finds you in good spirits and that the new year will bring you what you desire. If it's yarn you desire, come in and take advantage of our Superbowl Sale. Spring and Summer yarns will start arriving by the end of February so we need to make room for them.
The new season will bring us many alternative fibers such as bamboo and soy which are cool and comfortable to wear. If you don't have the patience to thread beads for beaded knitting, we'll have a new yarn from
Tilli Tomas which has the beads already threaded. For sock knitters, we've already gotten a great new yarn from South West Trading Company called TOFUtsies. it has a wonderful blend of superwash wool, soy silk, cotton, and chitlin (made from shrimp and crab shells!). It's even naturally antibacterial! Jaya will show you how to make them from the toe up.
We're all very excited about this season's class schedule. Jaya's knit-along workshops have been very successful. Our goal was to show you how to take any yarn you love and feel confident that you can design and knit your own sweater. This is something that we know is possible for you and we're so excited to see some of you already doing it! We've seen some wonderful new
Entrelac patterns lately so we've added that class to our schedule. It seems that many of the new magazines have added lots of color to their garments so we've responded with classes for both the Intarsia and Fair Isle techniques. We've even added Hairpin Lace which can be fun to do and perfect for a summer skirt. Please let us know if there's something you want to learn. We'll try to add it to our next class schedule or we'll set up a private lesson for you.
Please welcome two new people to our staff: Dagmar and Paivikki. Both have many years of experience with knitting and crochet and they are so eager to help you!

Happy Knitting and Crocheting!
All the best from all of us at Yarn Central!
